Brothers and Pledges with Marcus Engel in Alumni Gym
On Tuesday March 9th, fellow Kappa Sigma brother Marcus Engel came to Elon to speak to students on behalf of Elon Safe Rides.
Marcus Engel is a professional speaker and author who inspires and empowers audiences nationwide. His extraordinary story of recovery after being blinded and catastrophically injured by a drunk driver challenges individuals to achieve success by making intelligent choices.
Senior Brother Mac Bleser # 656 picked up Marcus and his dog Carson from the airport and went to lunch when he arrived that afternoon in Greensboro. After lunch, Marcus was able to hang out at the House and meet a few other brothers before his roundtable discussion with Elon faculty preceding the big event that evening.
Below is an excerpt from Marcus’ work with a little bit about his involvement in Kappa Sigma:
“In August of 1997 I was initiated into the brotherhood of the Kappa Sigma fraternity – and I’m so glad I did. Kappa Sigma taught me leadership, responsibility and opened an avenue for some of the most memorable times through my college years. Since I still work heavily in the college market, and since I owe a debt that can never be re-paid to Kappa Sig, I try to promote the national fraternity as much as I can.” -Marcus Engel
